Give something back and help beat cancer sooner by volunteering with your local team.

We have the following roles available. Contact us for more details.

Ad-hoc Collection Support (occasional work, as agreed)

An opportunity to stage a collection at a local venue such as Tesco can bring in £00s for the charity in a single day or over a weekend, but we can only staff a collection if we have willing volunteers to show up on the day.

Working in pairs with a CRUK local team member, you will be present for 1-2 hours at the venue, collecting donations in a bucket. Join our list of ad-hoc volunteers and we will let you know when collections have been arranged and our Collections Organiser will agree suitable time slots with you. All materials will be provided. You just show up with a smile!

Join our team and help us to organise bucket collections at local superstores, garden centres, in Ware or Hertford town centre, or anywhere there might be a good flow of people that might donate to Cancer Research UK. Collections form the backbone of our fundraising, bringing in £000s per year for the charity. We need someone to take ownership of the team's Collections function, carrying out the following activities: -

  2. Manage the team's event calendar
  3. Ensure the event is suitably staffed, by team members and ad-hoc volunteers, to maximise income from the event
  4. Ensure the collection's equipment is delivered on the morning of the event (eg. set up banner, table, chairs, collection buckets, credit card reader
